Once you determine what cards your opponent holds, you need to determine your own cards. If you have a high pair and a low card or two, you should play the hand more aggressively.
If you have a medium pair and a high card, you should call your hand if your cards are not that high. If you have an ace and a card that is not a card that increases your hand, such as an ace and a card, you should play aggressively, but not aggressively enough.
Middle suited connectors also have great value. If you are first in on a flop with one of these cards, you have a good chance of being the best pre-flop raiser.

Going out in the first round is a big mistake made by a lot of players. If someone pre-flop goes all in, you should call them. It is a good play, because you are forcing out a lot of players.
If you don’t believe that someone has a good hand, you can call them, but you should make a hedge bet of some sort hedge protecting hand in case someone has a good hand.
Sometimes you will win the hand, but it is a good play for your cards to make people earn their money before they lose it all.
